Dad told me never to use XTREE when he wasn’t in the room.

The Bee Commission

The Bee Commission

From vebelfetzer.

It’s incredibly difficult to photograph shiny paintings, but here you
go. This is the centerpiece of the Bee Commission, effectively
bringing the project to a close. I think I’ll still do one more
piece, and then hold a show with all the paintings, sketches and
unpursued designs.

I’m about 75% pleased with this piece. There’s a sort of
tentativeness to it, and a stiffness, that I’m not proud of. And the
lighting is highly conventional. But I consider it an incredibly
successful lesson in painting, having basically taught myself to
paint in oils, starting from near-ignorance, with this one piece.
